Renn Woods has just released her first Jazz CD titled Crazy. It is a 6 track CD containing some of the greatest Jazz standards of all time. The track listing includes Crazy He Calls Me, I’ll Close My Eyes, That Old Feeling, You Don’t Know What Love Is, A Rocking Good Way and Salty Papa Blues. She is accompanied by a band consisting of a pianist, drummer and bassist. The opening track is a cover of the Jazz standard made famous by Billie Holiday called Crazy He Calls Me. It is a beautiful selection with the voice of Renn Woods accompanied by piano. Another standard is You Don’t Know What Love Is which is a passionate track with a pleading mood.  The track A Rocking Good Way is a cover of the 1960 classic originally done by Dinah Washington and Brook Benton. This is an upbeat tune that features Woods in a duet with a male singer.  Another highlight is Salty Papa Blues which swings. This tune was made famous by Dinah Washington and The Lionel Hampton Septet.

Renn Woods – Crazy is a great CD that any Jazz fan will truly enjoy. It contains fantastic vocals, a great band and wonderful arrangements.
